My name is Ada Jacques. I grew up in Texas but did my junior college units at CCSF. I am back from SFSU after just finishing up (and surviving) a BS in Applied Math with an emphasis in Physics and a minor in Astronomy. I know 10 languages (human and computer combined). I am taking this class because I want to work in a front/back end programmer/web page developer/data scientist position while I figure out what I want to do in grad school as well as find research positions to help my grad school applications. I am hoping to program throughout my grad school years, and throughout the rest of my life since programming is quite useful in the applied sciences. I did my independent research in Machine Learning in R this past semester as my final graduation requirement. I work as a Spanish/Portuguese Medical Interpreter/Translator for Stanford Hospital and Clinics. I love to: read, fly planes, surf 5'-10' waves, travel the world, and rock climb.
