MARC records and Online catalogs: issues in library automation
This nine hour seminar will offer a detailed examination of the MAchine Readable Cataloging record as a vehicle for the communication of information including communication formats, display formats, indexing and retrieval.
The course is being offered for 0.5 credits and will be graded as credit/no credit. There will be no letter grades. Student participation will include exercises in class and one homework assignment. There will be no quizzes or final exam.
