This assignment is due at the beginning of the SECOND meeting of the course.
Late homework will not be accepted unless you are absent due to illness.
Basic Computer Terminology
5 points towards a total of 100 for the course.
You need two copies of the completed assignment:
one to turn in and one to look at for review in-class.
You may write it out by hand on lined paper, or use a word processor and print out your work.
Research the meanings of the following computer terms. The goal is for you to understand each of the terms well enough that you are able to explain what it means to someone else. Although you may want to start by looking for a dictionary definition for each term, continue your research about each term until you can explain it in your own words. The completed written assignment should show your own explanation for each term. If a definition you have found contains phrases that are so easy for you to understand that you cannot improve upon it, use quotation marks around those phrases and cite the work in which you have found them.
