Current Activities: Spring 2010
- Coordinator of Technical Services
I support collection development, cataloging, and aspects of Millennium -- the integrated library system. Ongoing activiites include:
- READ collection. An easy to find browsable location for books that can be read fluently by students working with beginning levels of basic skills and/or ESL. Report of Ad Hoc work group that created the READ collection. Draft of new cataloging procedures for the READ collection
- New Materials Lists
- Reference Librarian I serve at the Reference desk in person, by phone, and through IM.
- Drive for Drives!. Inspired by students who were struggling to produce research papers without any reliable way to save their work, I solicited donations of USB drives through a flyer and word of mouth. My next goal in this project is to start a discussion about recyling drives unclaimed from CCSF Lost and Found.
